Our Founders
Hearts & Hope was founded after multiple years of experience in supporting villages in Uganda. View the biographies of the founders below:
Julie Stroder
As Mission Leader for Messiah Lutheran Church in Weldon Spring, Missouri, Julie has played an active role in developing the relationship between her church and the village of Nakabango.
Through Julie's efforts, other US congregations are now working with similar villages throughout Uganda. |
Andy Wiggins
A member of Messiah Lutheran Church and sponsor of a high school student from Nakabango, Andy made his first trip to Uganda in January 2011 and it deeply impacted him. While there, Andy was fortunate enough to meet the student and, after seeing the impact his donations had made and the work yet to be done, Andy decided to create Hearts & Hope in order to expand the impact.

Todd Larkin
A member of Messiah Lutheran Church and sponsor of a primary school student in Nakabango, Todd joined Andy Wiggins on his first trip to Uganda in January 2011. Moved to tears by the beautiful people of Uganda and the crushing poverty they faced every day, Todd has worked with Andy to create Hearts & Hope.
