Volunteer Program
Volunteers are the heart of the support Hearts and Hope, Inc. provides to children and their families during one of the most sensitive times of their lives. There are many ways to share your heart and time in support of the children and their families who come through our doors seeking understanding, healing and hope.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Clerical
- Assist in reception, telephone outreach, bulk mailings and general office duties
Special Events & Fundraising
- Assist with planning, greeting, registration, raffle sales, auction assistance and event set-up
Garden Care & House Maintenance
- Help us create and maintain a warm, inviting atmosphere for our families
Heart Warmer
- Meet and greet our families on group nights, help to serve dinner, assist with set-up and cleanup
- Take care of our families in a way that allows them to relax-settling into the space, their thoughts and feelings-giving them the gift of not having to do or worry about anything, the opportunity to just be in the company of their family and friends
Group Facilitator
- Co-facilitate the supportive group process, participate in pre-and post-group sessions with staff and other volunteers
- Help create a space where families can share and be who they are, providing the experience of acceptance and care without judgment-creating a soft place to share from their most intimate corners of their hearts-offering sacred moments where they will truly be listened to.
