Support Groups for Children
Children’s peer groups are structured by age and peer appropriateness. For children, the loss of a loved one can be a difficult time to verbally express their emotions. With support from peers, facilitating from trained volunteers & creative avenues provided, children are supported in identifying and experiencing their feelings, thoughts and memories connected to the loss of their loved one.

Available Groups for Children:

  • Littlest Hearts - For children 3 to 5 years
  • Brave Hearts - For children 6 to 9 years
  • Kid’s Club - For children 10 to 12 years
  • Connections - For teens 13 to 17 years

Support Groups for Adults
Caregivers of the child/children who participate in group are required to participate in a parallel support group process. Adult peer groups are organized by relationship to the person who died to include: caregiver/extended family loss and child loss. The adult support groups include time for personal sharing, education concerning grieving children and families, and peer support.
